THE BOWEN MEET: PREORDAINED

​Ephesians  2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
There are two things I want to point out to you in here. That we are his workmanship. His very own creation, the epitome of his creativity. In you, God reveals that he is creative.

The next thing I want to show you is that God has preordained you to display that artistry. He has preordained you to be pleasing to him.
You predestination is to be pleasing unto God.

He sees you as pleasing

That’s how he ordained it
Long before you ever had a chance to mess up.

PERSPECTIVE

One major sign that a soul is not just ageing but advancing in the accumulation of wisdom is the redefinition of many previously defined terms

For a soul without much experience, fear is an involuntary response triggered by the logical acceptance of the enormity of a challenge . The wiser a person gets however, his definition of fear changes. To a wise man ‘fear’ is a simple sign an indicator that there is much glory to be attained at the conquering of the impending challenge.

To one, fear is a negative thing… trigerring flight. To another, it is the most exciting feeling in the world, triggering a fight!

SWITCH

Psalms  _3:2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.  3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head._ 
Look again, forget all the doctrine learnt and look again. There are two voices here ; the voice of ‘many’ and the voice of ‘one’. ‘Many’ say a lot of things around us and they take their conclusions from their environments and what they see. However faith refers to an abandonment of what ‘Many’ say for an abandonment into a discovery of the steadfast nature of God.

We don’t believe God is steadfast, it is not our opinion…. It is simply our discovery. Our discovery of something older than time itself!

REASON

If you were asked to produce Two Million Naira in 3 weeks (especially if you have no means of getting the money) you would mostlikely say ‘Impossible’. Now imagine a dear person was ill. Maybe your mother or your spouse or a lady that just said ‘yes’ to you after months of wooing her. Let’s imagine that 3 weeks was all they had left and 2 million Naira was what stood between them and health. 

Is it still impossible? 
Maybe the reason your goals seem impossible to achieve is because you haven’t found a reason strong enough to keep you awake and to put you to sleep. A reason strong enough to push you to achieve.
Find one tonight…

Exodus  _14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, why are you calling out to me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:  14:16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea._
When we read with old ‘eyes’, we continually read what we like to read and not what we should be reading. Come everyday with ‘new pair of eyes’; renew your mind! Review the text again ‘…why are you CALLING OUT to me’ (that’s exactly how the original reads). The next thing he says is ‘tell them to move, you use your rod and divide the sea’ 

See, the father is inside you stop calling out (he is not there) because to call out, we must stop moving. Keep moving and things will change cos things will respond to him; cos he is inside you

TRANSITION

1 John  _1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;_ 
Here John describes (in a subtle way as those saints of old loved to) a strange principle. He is talking about the word, and the processes it passes through before it becomes concrete reality. He says we hear it first then it breaks into vision and if we steadfastly observe the vision it breaks into reality. This post will not explain much; just that whatever you see as true in Scripture that seems to be lacking in your life, can become real if you but take The Word and pass it through that simple outlined process.

DEDUCTION

Romans _6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:  6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God._

Read it again without all the previous things you thought the verse was saying, and you will see something really beautiful. The St. Paul of Tarsus in his usually subtle manner tells us where he gets the revelation of ALL that is available to believers; he simply looks at Christ. Even when things were not spelt out word-for-word in the Torah (the only scripture at the time), he could infer from the life and living of Christ what was available to him, and the others.

No matter what you may be going through and do not know how it would end, quietly ask yourself what the outcome would be if Christ were the one going through it. What’s your answer?

UNABASHED

When you want to start anything at all, one of the things you will hear is “go and learn more” “you don’t know enough” etc.. Learning is great! But no matter how much you learn, there will still be something you do not know. One deception that people fall into is thinking they do not have what it takes to do great stuff. So do not put off your start plan because you feel you need more. Start first, be open to new things as you go along, be willing to accept challenges and learn from them.

Don’t wait for all the conditions to be right…. it will never happen!

DISGUISE

Matthew  _13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.  13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand._
This is one of the scariest statements ever made in scripture. The one that has, will get more…the one that doesn’t have (watch this) WILL LOOSE WHAT HE HAS. Next verse explains it better ; they SEE but do not SEE. It all sounds strange untill you think a little about it. The RICH gets richer, as opposed to the POOR that gets poorer. How does that which is poor, get poorer? That’s because he has something that he always claims he doesn’t have. He has wealth! But because he is blind to it, he continually says ‘I don’t have’, so he continually looses it to the one that has! The difference between the poor and the rich then isn’t ‘bank balance’; it is perception!
Change your perspective about yourself. Look deeper, appreciate ‘you’ more. You have more than you think you do
