The word ‘social’ can be used to describe this decade (since 2010). Some of the major inventions that have raked in cash for the inventors have been the one that brought us together; the name for such inventions are Social Media Technology. WhatsApp, Facebook. Snapchat ati bebelo (etc.) (Did I leave out Instagram? God forbid that I commit high treason.)
Anyways these inventions are suggestive of a need (or phenomenon) in our world; collective acceptance. We (subconsciously or consciously, in fact) want to be part of something. That’s a great thing o! But the wahala (problem) with being ‘part’ of something is that some times (not all the time) we loose our originality in the struggle for acceptance.
> You don’t have to be an entrepreneur or own your business; 9-5 job is not of the devil. Some people will have to do it, and be very good at it.
> You don’t have to use a large hall for your wedding reception; you can use church premises and save money.
> You don’t have to use Chicken for Christmas…fish is not a bad idea.
